Spring Remodelers Showcase 2026
Twice each year, the Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase gives homeowners the chance to step inside real projects, walk through real transformations, and see what’s possible when thoughtful design meets skilled craftsmanship.
This spring, McDonald Remodeling is bringing two very different projects to the tour — and we couldn’t have planned it better if we tried.
We’re Stop #1 and Stop #34. That means you can quite literally begin your Showcase experience with us and wrap it up with us — seeing two distinct approaches to remodeling that both reflect what we care about most: smart design, lasting materials, and spaces built for the way people actually live.
One home highlights a dramatic main floor transformation and home addition that reconnected the layout to its surroundings. The other showcases refined updates and detailed craftsmanship that elevate everyday living.
Different homes. Different challenges. Same standard.

This featured project showcases a complete main floor remodel and thoughtfully rebuilt addition. What was once compartmentalized and dated is now open, connected, and grounded in its setting. Expanded windows capture natural light and views. A reimagined kitchen anchors the space. Warm hardwood floors unify the layout.
It’s a powerful example of what can happen when you don’t just update a home — you rethink it.

Living in a home full of honey oak and wondering what to do with it? This stop is for you.
These clients loved their 2001 home — they just didn’t love how heavy all that golden oak felt. Instead of tearing everything out, we blended old with new. The kitchen, laundry/mudroom, and bathrooms were fully remodeled, while the original red oak floors were refinished to harmonize with the existing millwork.
By layering updated finishes and complementary wood tones, we modernized the space without erasing its character.
If you’ve been asking, “Can this honey oak house really be updated?” — come see your answer in person.
