</strong>The old kitchen, with its confining peninsula, was gutted and enlarged, and a large cherry island with Cambria top is the center of attention for cooking, informal dining and socializing. Multiple work stations, customized built-ins, much-needed storage and professional-grade appliances create high functionality. Sleek, contemporary details include a glass tile backsplash and deep, square stainless steel sinks in two locations. A customized message center, plus a window bench with additional storage are also tied into the new design.
