The Challenge
Maximize the entertainment potential of an unfinished lower level for a sports oriented family. Change it into an exciting space for family activities and entertaining.
The Solution
We designed and created a “sports bar” at home, with a fully equipped kitchen and snack bar, spacious gathering space highlighted by a stone fireplace, and four televisions to catch all the sports action from any vantage point. By removing a load-bearing wall, the bar and kitchen area was carved from space that was previously a storage room, and now includes full dishwasher, refrigerator and sink. The custom entertainment center and kitchen cabinetry are alder. Just out of the photo, to the right of the bar, is a dedicated games area with pool table and arcade games.
