The Challenge
Update family room and open to living room; achieve more natural light despite inability to move windows due to siding restrictions at existing window locations; incorporate woodwork generously.
The Solution
By opening the center bearing wall and relocating mechanicals, more natural light enters both family room and living room throughout the day. Elegance is provided with a mix of woods – large profile moldings, enameled woodwork, white oak flooring and cherry cabinetry. The TV cabinet includes a motorized lift and other electronics. The fireplace is enriched with a granite surround and converted to gas.[divider]
