Lower Level Remodel
SHOWCASE #R02
3243 Black Oak Drive
Eagan, Minnesota

R02

The Challenge: The unfinished basement of this home was nothing more than an outgrown hockey play area. The owners longed for a sophisticated setting for children and family to entertain and relax.

Our Solution: Welcome to the local pub and theater! Inspired by the warmth of traditional pub styling, what was once a dreary unfinished space has been gorgeously transformed into a multi-purpose entertainment level. The cozy pub area is highlighted by stonework and rustic cherry cabinetry for storage, display and bar seating, all adjacent to a spacious game room. The stonework is repeated in the theater area, dramatically defined with crown molding and indirect lighting. A luxurious bathroom, zoned temperature systems, new Marvin windows and more create a welcoming at-home escape for family and friends.

Lower Level Remodel
SHOWCASE #R67
32324 Angell Road
Sun Fish Lake, Minnesota

R02

The Challenge: A standard unfinished basement, complicated by a chimney chase damaged due to exterior water issues. The owners’ goal was a space for family and grandchildren to gather.

Our Solution: After solving the exterior water problems we repaired the chimney chase, then raised the basement stairway to create more room at the bottom. Two separate game areas invite everyone to have fun competing. Then they can relax around the stone fireplace in the comfortable hearth area with a complete kitchen and bar for convenient entertaining. A sauna in the new bathroom offers another option for relaxing, too. Thoughtful details include granite countertops, surroundsound system and built-in storage. The result is a lower level that lives as wonderfully as the rest of the home.
