Here we showcase just a few of the details that
may seem small, but can have an enormous
impact.
A. Molding and Pilasters. Traditional crown
molding and classic dentil molding top off narrow
fluted pilasters, all of which are enameled
for a crisp, sophisticated finish in a remodeled
family room.
B. Custom Millwork. A cherry kitchen island
becomes an oasis of impressive craftsmanship
with doors that incorporate glass insets, plus a
granite top featuring a gracefully curving ogee
edge.
C. Custom Iron Railing. Squared, tapered pickets
are hammered top and bottom, with a floating
center ring. The railing curves to the upper
level, with a balcony overlooking the foyer.
D. Exterior Details. Curved and angled crown molding and dentil moldings highlight a stately portico that rests atop classic columns, elegantly transforming the entrance to a Georgian red brick home.
E. Corbels and Fluting. Another McDonald
Remodeling-designed cherry kitchen island is
highlighted with intricately carved corbels on
all four corners and hand-routed fluting.
F. Creative Combinations. In this lower-level
bathroom renovation, a tranquil spa effect is
achieved with a porcelain vessel sink handsomely
seated in a concrete slab countertop, a
natural limestone backsplash and wall-mounted
fixtures.
G. Noteworthy Newel Posts. A simple change can make a dramatic statement - this particular rich cherry newel post provides a strong presence in any type of transitional setting where wood is featured.
H. Turned Newel Post with Voluted Hand Rail.
Another example of our finely crafted railing systems, this is a traditionally styled mixed system using enamel and cherry.
