Master Bath Remodel
St. Louis Park, Minnesota
The Challenge: Enlarge and refresh cramped master bath while maintaining its 1940s character.
The Solution: We found more floor space by opening up knee walls on the second floor to make room for both a shower and a tub. The luxurious bathroom is highlighted by a slipper tub and furniture-style vanity. From light fixtures to floor tiles, interior details were chosen to honor the home’s heritage.
Powder Room Remodel
Burnsville, Minnesota
The Challenge: Create an elegant powder room to complement the home’s remodeled main floor.
The Solution: We started with an existing, but outdated, ¾ bath and transformed it to a new level of graciousness. An antique cabinet from the owners’ collection became the centerpiece, showcasing the sink and storage.
Master Bath Renovation
Mendota Heights, Minnesota
The Challenge: Bring new refinement to an undistinguished bathroom.
The Solution: The former oak cabinetry and millwork
were replaced with enameled cabinets, six-panel doors
and trim. Storage was increased with a tall cabinet
between dual his-and-hers vanities. In-floor electric heat
warms the ceramic floor. Ceramic tile lines the floor and
one wall of the three-sided glass shower. And a TV is
positioned for relaxed viewing from the whirlpool tub.
Lower-level Bathroom Remodel
Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota
The Challenge: Give an existing bath a facelift.
The Solution: While the rest of the home underwent
more extensive renovation, we were able to refresh the
look and feel of this lower-level bath without replacing
the fixtures. New flooring and completely new millwork
were added. The transformation was dramatic enough to
give the sense of a completely renewed room.
Master Bath
Edina, Minnesota
The Challenge: Create a luxurious master bath befitting the style of an updated 1920s-era home.
The Solution: This substantially sized room invites relaxation. A furniture-quality vanity, with a specialty finish and marble countertop, sets an elegant mood. The dramatic tub is a pedestal style in which long soaks are a must, not a hope. Natural travertine is used for flooring and shower walls, and the double-headed shower has a clear glass, frameless door adding to the feeling of spaciousness. Finally, the room is finished with a private water closet.
Powder Room Update
Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota
The Challenge: Refresh a main-floor powder room without relocating plumbing.
The Solution: Old plumbing fixtures – sink and toilet – were replaced with new models, installed in the same locations as the old ones. A new level of excitement was achieved with the addition of a room-width mirror, artful sconces mounted on walls opposite each other rather than in the traditional same-wall style, and a rich granite counter top. The result is elegant drama.
